News: Get Ready to ROCK! Radio launches new showcase for psychedelic and progressive rock label Fruits de Mer Records (July 2025)

Get Ready to ROCK! Radio has launched a weekly one hour showcase for specialist label Fruits de Mer Records. A pilot show was broadcast on Sunday 20 July.

The show – “The Sunday Psychle” – will feature a selection of label releases both new and back catalogue. Established in 2008 Fruits de Mer specialises in psychedelic and progressive rock with regular releases including limited edition and coloured vinyl.

The first show featured new and forthcoming releases from Babal, La Nouvelle Musique, Himmelaya and Sendelica plus a selection including current and previous compilations. These releases are made available to “club members” who purchase current promotions.

Label founders Andy Bracken and Keith Jones quest was to unearth and reissue long-lost/classic tracks from the sixties and early seventies as 7″ singles. They were frustrated that they were unable to secure licensing rights from big labels.

Keith now carries the torch for the label describing “a right old mix of classic and obscure tracks, reinterpreted by artists who love them, respect them but want to breathe new life into them…and new songs by bands that have their roots in the 60s and 70s.”

The label has regularly held an annual event at the Cellar Bar in Cardigan, West Wales every August.
