Andy Sharrocks

The Eclectic Mix, (Second) Sunday 18:00; Thursday 22:00 repeat

Andy Sharrocks’ life is steeped in rock music.

Andy’s peak listening time was the seventies when he was awakened by bands as varied as Fairport Convention, Deep Purple and Rolling Stones.

His first job leaving school was in a record shop and he was one of the original organisers of the legendary Deeply Vale free festival, running between 1976 and 1979.

In the late seventies he formed his first band, Accident On The East Lancs, releasing singles and an album. He has subsequently recorded four albums including a triple vinyl album released in 2023.

Andy plans to bring his vast musical knowledge and experience to a monthly show in “The Eclectic Mix” series.

His particular passion is new country, alt-country, Americana but as he says “I’m still a sucker for the blues, or a gritty guitar riff.”
