News: Get Ready to ROCK! announces ‘The Best of 2024’ for top albums, live acts, reissues and breakthrough acts (December 2024)

Popular rock website www.getreadytorock.com has announced it’s end of year ‘Best of 2024’ based on the selections of the website’s review team.
Get Ready to ROCK!’s annual ‘Best of’ has been published at its website. Amongst the top albums were bands such as Brave Rival and Scarlet Rebels who scooped the classic rock category but also made a good showing as popular live acts. Although there is no overall top album, there are selected albums across a range of genres which are also supported by the radio station.
As Jason Ritchie (News and Reviews Editor) commented: “The reviewer choices are always rather eclectic, which reflects the range of informed opinion and the different music featured by the website. In 2023 we celebrated 20 years coverage and this year has seen a healthy number of both new artists and albums and the more established. All are reflected in the ‘Best of’ listings.”
A radio special on Sunday 22 December (22:00 GMT) will feature some of the selections, whilst a special show on Sunday 29 December will feature a Top 30 compiled from the weekly Top 10 album chart. The Top 10 countdown is included in the ‘Assume The Position’ show every Sunday, presented by David Randall.
