News: PETE FEENSTRA takes break from broadcasting (September 2026)

8 September 2026 Uncategorized

Blues rock expert Pete Feenstra has decided to take a break from broadcasting.

Since 2014 Pete Feenstra has presented two shows on Get Ready to ROCK! Radio, the two hour rock and blues show and one hour feature show which invariably includes an interview.

Pete announced on Facebook that he will be concentrating now on other projects.

Station Manager David Randall: “Pete has worked tirelessly on his radio shows and won several awards. This commitment over a long period is not to be under-estimated. Pete’s knowledge of the blues genre in particular will be sorely missed. We thank him and wish him well in his future projects.”

The “Tuesday Is Bluesday” five hour sequence will now feature continuous music but include many of the tracks Pete featured in his shows plus new releases.

There are plans for a new hour feature to replace the Sunday show, with the emphasis on the singer songwriter genre.

Before the end of September, the Sunday show will feature several highlights from Pete’s interviews

On Tuesday 8 September by way of tribute the station is repeating the first two Rock & Blues shows, first broadcast in January 2014.
