Get Ready to ROCK! (www.getreadytorock.com) has announced the Top 30 albums of 2025 based on its weekly Top 10 chart.
Every Sunday as part of his show on Get Ready to ROCK! Radio David Randall announces the chart and plays tracks from the Top 5 albums. The listing is then published on the radio station Facebook page.
The chart is compiled by News and Reviews editor Jason Ritchie based on website and social media activity, plus radio airplay.
Says Jason: “Every week the chart reflects the wide scope of the review website with folk or singer songwriter albums sometimes rubbing shoulders with metal or heavy rock.
This year, several albums have enjoyed great longevity in the chart if not always making the top position.
The Top 30 listing complements the reviewer Best of published shortly before Christmas. There’s a fair amount of overlap but the chart also reflects increased social media activity with artists actively sharing review links with their followers
John Lees’ Barclay James Harvest and the album ‘Relativity’ is No.1 position in the Top 30 chart, closely followed by the self-titled debut from Sign Of The Wolf, a project coordinated by melodic rock champion Bruce Mee. Both albums stayed in the chart for more than 12 weeks respectively.
The Top 30 countdown was broadcast in a special show on Get Ready to ROCK! Radio.
