Award winning
Finnish guitarist chats to Pete Feenstra
On Sunday 27
March, in his weekly Feature show, Pete Feenstra
chats to Finnish guitarist ERJA LYYTINEN.
The Pete
Feenstra Feature (Sundays, 20:00) regularly explores
in some depth a specific artist and/or album.
Occasionally the artist will select their favourite
tracks that have influenced and inspired their own
music over the years. Recent interviews have
included blues rock guitarists Big Boy Bloater and
Robin Bibi.
On Sunday 3
April there is the first part of a two-part special
with David Randall chatting to pop/rock vocal legend
COLIN BLUNSTONE.
Colin plays UK
dates from 15 April and this special feature allows
listeners to catch up with his back catalogue, from
The Zombies via solo work to collaborations with
Alan Parsons, in a career that has spanned over 50
years.
Recent
interview/features are now available via our
Mixcloud page.
More information
Also available
via Mixcloud is an hour long special reflecting the
work of one of pop's great innovators who died
recently: George Martin. Best known for his
time with The Beatles, the feature also included his
production work with bands such as Stackridge and
with Jeff Beck in the 1970s.

>> Every 1-2
weeks we select albums and tracks for more frequent airplay.
These can be new releases or reissues.
How do we
make our selection? We use feedback from presenters and
reviewers, and their opinions at
www.getreadytorock.com
The aim is
to signpost new artists where possible but not always the most
obvious track or single and/or albums/artists worthy of further
investigation.
