NAZARETH

Nazareth formed in 1968 and after releasing two albums achieved a breakthrough in 1973 with 'Razamanaz' which spawned two Top 10 hits 'Broken Down Angel' and 'Bad Bad Boy'.  The follow-up 'Loud 'N' Proud' included their version of the Joni Mitchell song 'This Flight Tonight'.  The band continued to achieve album, and to a lesser extent single, success in the seventies but they were more popular in Europe in the 1980s and 1990s.

The band's original line-up remained constant until the departure of guitarist Manny Charlton in 1990, although original drummer Darrel Sweet died in 1999.

There was renewed interest in the band with the 2008 release of 'The Newz' (their first for 10 years) followed by world touring and in 2010 they released 'Big Dogz'.

Salvo have reissued the band's 1980s albums and a 4-CD box set was released in 2011.

Current band line-up is Dan McCafferty (lead vocals), Jimmy Murrison (guitar), Pete Agnew (bass) and Lee Agnew (drums).
